October 21 is International Credit Union Day

Since 1948, credit unions worldwide have come together to recognize International Credit Union (ICU) Day^®. This year, ICU Day falls on October 21. The day’s goal is to raise awareness of the credit union mission and help illustrate how credit unions benefit their members.

For 2021, the ICU Day theme is “Building financial health for a brighter tomorrow.”

Since they’ve been in existence, credit unions have used the power of collectivity and cooperation to help their members build better financial futures. Unlike for-profit financial institutions, credit unions like Connexus are not-for-profit and member-owned, meaning we return profits to our members through high yields and low rates.

In keeping with 2021’s ICU Day theme, we are committed to the credit union philosophy of “people helping people” as we work to make each members’ experience helpful, reliable, and respectful.
